2024, Taco Bell & Other News

the year of the collab

It’s 2024! And there’s been no shortage of brand activations and collabs in the first three weeks of the year — the Taco Bell team has clearly been hard at work. Lots of content to get into today, so let’s get going.

Foodie News

  • The Elk x Alice Mushrooms ‘Brain Buzz Mocha’ has officially launched & will be available all month long - it’s made with adaptogenic mushrooms, cacao, espresso, vanilla and steamed milk

    • Adaptogenic mushrooms are huge right now - Alice saw an opportunity to pioneer an easily accessible, delicious way to try them out & ran with it. I think will actually convince a lot of people who are hesitant to try them out

  • Purely Elizabeth launched cookie granola & is currently doing a collab with Maman cafe

    • You can get a Chocolate Chip Cookie Granola Latte (which looks delicious) and a Cookie Granola-inspired Cookie the whole month of January

      • notice a cafe collab theme going on here?

  • In other news, Taco Bell is really on a roll right now

  • They’re also doing a collab with Uber Eats for limited edition cinnamon twist cereal

    • Until January 22, Uber One Members in New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami and Dallas, can get the mini-cereal box with free delivery on any Taco Bell breakfast order placed by 11 a.m. on Uber Eats

    • I’m way more intrigued by this than the crunchwrap supreme kit if I’m being honest

  • Wishbone Kitchen launched an at home cooking show & the first episode is officially out

    • needless to say I’m obsessed

  • “The Yassification of Lactaid” is a real headline. Dairy is back and better than ever in 2024 apparently.

  • It’s going to be a good year for Ghia & Dry January

    • “January performance is usually the strongest indicator for the year ahead” and apparently consumers ‘broke their warehouse’.

  • Fishwife (the brand that won the tinned fish category, for good reason) landed a deal on Sharktank — this recap breaks it down

In other news: I met Meredith Hayden aka Wishbone Kitchen at her SoupSide Guest Chef Pop Up! Her Spicy Spaghetti O’s are delish and I’m super excited for the next guest chef features - the lineup will apparently include Andy Barghani, Carissa Stanton (better known as @broccyourbody) and Nino Asaro. I also love how each purchase is supporting the chefs’ chosen charity - Erewhon smoothie collab style.

And an update on my ever growing nyc hit list:

And one last random thought: my chicken cesaer wrap post is still going crazy on Instagram, just in case you haven’t seen it yet 🙂

Bye!
